The 511XTH is a complete system which includes the 51XT wireless XLR plug-in UHF transmitter and the 511DRH half-rack receiver.
Housed in a metal half-rack sized enclosure, the AC-powered 511DRH receiver with improved circuitry replaces the 411DRH. The 511DRH and is a crystal controlled, PLL synthesized receiver with 63 on-board user selectable UHF frequencies with a range of 794MHz to approx. 806MHz. It is true diversity, containing two separate receivers, each operating on the same frequency. The transmitter's output signal is monitored constantly by a diversity circuit, which switches automatically to the receiver with the stronger RF signal. This allows wireless performance that is virtually drop-out free, even under the most adverse conditions. The 511DRH can be rack mounted with the optional HR1 or HR2 kits. The HR1 will rack mount a single 511DRH receiver, while the HR2 will mount two.
The 511DRH will work flawlessly with the Azden 51XT frequency-agile transmitter with 63 on-board user selectable UHF frequencies. The 51XT is a compact plug-in transmitter which converts low-impedance microphones to wireless. Using a special 'lock-down' XLR connector for a secure grip, the transmitter is powered for more than 8 hours by a single 9V Alkaline battery. Featured are a separate On/Off switch (with LED indicator), an Audio Standby switch as well as a microphone input level control with Peak indicator LED (allowing the adaptor to transmit the output of a soundboard as well). Additionally, the 51XT provides switched phantom power.
Azden 511DRH UHF Wireless Receiver
Azden 511DRH Key Features
- 63 User-Selectable Frequencies
- The 511DRH is a frequency agile system, meaning that you choose the frequency of both the transmitter and receiver via the group and channel controls. The group knob allows you to select any of seven frequency groups (numbered from 0-6). The channel knob allows you to select any of nine frequency channels (numbered from 0-8) within the selected group. This method of group/channel selection provides 63 possible choices (794-806Mhz).
- Crystal-Controlled and PLL-Synthesized
- The crystal-controlled, PLL-synthesized mixer/local oscillator provides for extremely accurate frequency selection.
- Twin LED Indicators for Antenna Reception and Signal Strength
- When the transmitter is turned on and is in reception range of the receiver, either the A or B LED will light up RED, depending on which receiver circuit is getting the strongest signal from the transmitter. Flickering between the A and B LED is a normal indication of the diversity front-end working to reduce multipath distortion. A 5-step LED array is provided for easy monitoring of signal strangth.
- Five-Step Audio Level LED Array With Peak LED Indicator
- This indicator lights when the receiver's input level from the transmitter exceeds unity.
- Channel Selection Knobs and and Power On/Off on Front Panel
- Removeable Dual Antennas With BNC Connectors
- A true diversity front end with twin antennas reduces multipath distortion caused dropouts to near zero. The supplied antennas are connector mounted (BNC) so that they can be disconnected and/or removed. The BNC antenna connectors are located on the rear panel.
- 12V DC Input
- Plug the supplied AC adapter into the 12 volt input on the receiver then into an AC electrical outlet.
- Output Adjustment
- Rotate this knob clockwise to increase, or counterclockwise to decrease volume level. Located on the rear panel.
- Balanced and Unbalanced Output
- The 511DRH features both 1/4-inch and XLR output jacks located on the rear panel.
- Variable Tone-Code Squelch
- Switching the Audio to OFF on the microphone will cause the receiver to mute due to the tone squelch circuitry in the receiver. This allows the microphone to be handled with no noise.

Azden 51XT Wireless XLR Plug-in Transmitter
Azden 51XT Key Features
- Plug-in XLR Microphone Transmitter
- Convert any XLR microphone into a wireless. Usng a special lockdown XLR connector for a secure grip on your mic, the 51XT is powered by a standard AA alkaline battery.
- Input Level Control
- The audio input level control enables you to adjust the input level of the microphone. Turn clockwise to increase, or counter-clockwise to decrease the input level. A small screwdriver is supplied to make these adjustments.
- Power and Audio Switches
- The power ON and OFF switch enables and disables all transmitter functions while the Audio switch ON and OFF turn just the transmitter's audio signal on and off. Switching the Audio to OFF will cause the receiver to mute due to the tone squelch circuitry at the receiver. This allows the microphone to be handled with no noise.
- 63 User-Selectable Frequencies
- The group knob allows you to select any of seven frequency groups (numbered from 0-6). The channel knob allows you to select any of nine frequency channels (numbered from 0-8) within the selected group. This method of group/channel selection provides 63 possible choices (794-806Mhz).
- LED Power and Peak Indicators
- AF PEAK - this indicator lights when the receiver's input level from the transmitter exceeds unity.
POWER - with fresh batteries, this LED lights red when the power switch is turned ON. When the battery level drops to 4 volts this LED will flash on and off. When this happens it is time to replace the batteries.
- Switched Phantom Power
- Allows you the flexibility to use dynamic or condenser microphones (9V or less) with the 51XT.
