Elinchrom Ranger RX Speed AS Power Pack

Complete portable power without the need for generators, AC outlets or long extension cables. The Ranger features a "go anywhere" weather resistant design, self-sealing rubber protectors, raised sockets complete with covers, with electronics only in the upper part of the unit. The Ranger RX Speed AS unit is designated RX because it may be operated by remote control -- by computer or by a handset -- enormously increasing the ease of use on location.

The Ranger RX Speed AS will recycle to full power in 2.9 seconds with up to 250 flashes. The Ranger RX Speed AS unit, incorporating the most advanced miniaturized components, weighs in at only 17.6 pounds -- much lighter and smaller than any comparable unit. The same modified circuitry has permitted an extension of its power range, with enhanced stability.

The 2400Ws Elinchrom Ranger Free Lite A Flashhead dedicated to the Elinchrom Ranger battery-powered pack system. Smaller, lighter, and more portable, the Free Lite A retains all the advantages of its "bigger brother" lampheads. The Free Lite A features a 16-foot, low resistance power cable, modeling light switch and safety fuse. In addition, the patented "double bayonet" mounting ring assures full compatibility with Elinchrom's extensive line of reflectors, softboxes, and light banks. The special plug with locking ring ensures secure operation when connected properly to a Ranger RX power pack.

The Free Lite A head offers the same performance as the Free Lite S head with the additional feature of an action-freezing flash tube with ultra-short flash duration. The A tube is a single, twin-electrode flash tube designed to ensure even lighting distribution with short flash durations for sports and fashion photography. The Free Lite A head freezes action at 1/5120 second at t 0.5 when used with the Ranger RX Speed AS Power Pack.
