Replacing the G555, the Gitzo GB-320 2-Section Alumnium Audio Boom has a maximum length of 54.7 inches and supports payloads up to 4.4 pounds. Gitzo booms are designed for performance and reliability to meet location sound and broadcast audio professionals' requirements. Gitzo booms feature a 1/4-inch - 3/8-inch reversible mounting screw supported by a high quality machined aluminum upper end. The microphone cable can be run either outside or inside the pole. The aluminum upper end is specially outfitted with a machined hole for inner cables.

All aluminum booms now feature Gitzo's latest aluminum tube, 30% lighter than its predecessor, with 1.2mm thick walls and Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR) for improved locking performance. The new brushed matt black finish minimizes reflectivity. This new tube allows for a dramatic weight reduction and, thanks to ALR, aluminum booms are now incredibly quicker, easier and more precise to operate.

Also the innovative and exclusive G-Lock system is now available on aluminum models. G-Lock, until now available on 6X models only, allows for even faster and stronger locking and increases rigidity by 20%. Increased rigidity is a critical performance factor for microphone booms. All Gitzo booms come with a smart Gitzo display cleaner and a convenient anti dust bag for storage and packing.

Lightweight, High-Strength Aluminum Alloy Construction

Gitzo has launched a new aluminum tube: 30% lighter than its predecessor, with 1.2 mm thick walls and a built-in Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR). It features improved leg locking performance and a brushed matte black finish that minimizes light reflection. For the cast components, Gitzo uses top quality aluminum alloys and gravity casting -- more expensive than pressure casting, but able to guarantee that components are free from internal air bubbles that could compromise solidity and durability.

G-Lock

The locking mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. Unwanted play between lock parts has been eliminated so boom sections lock together as one to give the boom a rock solid structure.

ALR (Anti Leg Rotation)

Gitzo's new Anti Leg Rotation system means boom length can be quickly and precisely adjusted.

High-Quality Machined Aluminum Upper End
