Replacing the G1340, the Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Eye Level Systematic Series 3 Studex Tripod supports cameras up to 39.7 pounds and has a maximum height of 58.9 inches. The new Series 3 Aluminum Systematic tripod is significantly lighter than the previous model and offers additional stability thanks to the G-lock system. It is a great choice for professional equipment, medium format and digital SLRs with 300mm up to 500mm lenses. The reduced weight, the faster operation thanks Anti Leg Rotation System and the two leg warmers fitted, make this tripod more versatile and easier to transport. Aluminum Systematic tripods are now faster, lighter and more stable. A key innovation is the use of Gitzo latest aluminum tube with 1.2mm wall thickness, 30% lighter than its predecessor, with Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR) and brushed matt black finish for improved locking performance and minimized reflectivity. Thanks to ALR, Aluminum Systematic tripods are now as fast to operate as the 6X carbon fiber versions.

Aluminum Alloy Construction

Gitzo has launched a new aluminum tube: 30% lighter than its predecessor, with 1.2 mm thick walls and a built-in Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR). It features improved leg locking performance and a brushed matte black finish that minimizes light reflection. For the cast components, Gitzo uses top quality aluminum alloys and gravity casting -- more expensive than pressure casting, but able to guarantee that components are free from internal air bubbles that could compromise solidity and durability.

New Generation Removeable Top Platform

Systematic tripods have a unique ultra wide top platform that guarantees an incredibly stable base for any professional high performance equipment. This platform can be removed and replaced with other accessories, making this a fully customizable system. A Systematic tripod can quickly be transformed into a professional video support by means of 100mm and 75mm half ball adapters. The Gitzo GT3330LS Systematic tripod is supplied with the new-generation Gitzo top flat plate. The Systematic upper plate has been completely redesigned for increased performance and functionality. New features include the Safe Lock material that cuts vibrations and improves tripod-to-head lock (as already used on tripods discs), and a special fixed locking screw to securely lock the head onto the plate. The new plate also includes, for the first time, a convenient sand bag hook.

Power Disc With Safe Lock

The redesigned upper plate is improved via Gitzo's new Power Disc technology. Made of machined aluminum topped with Safe Lock material, it includes a special locking screw, granting a rock-solid connection to securely lock the head onto the plate. Gitzo's Safe Lock material is a special techno polymer that maximizes locking torque and equipment stabilization. It is also used on the upper discs of tripods and heads, and in applications where the equipment is rotated and screwed onto the support to eliminate micro movements and vibration.

G-Lock

G-Lock is the new Gitzo leg locking system. The locking mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. Unwanted play between lock parts has been eliminated so leg sections lock together as one to give the tripod a rock solid structure. G-Lock's special design also provides a 'gravity lock' effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.

ALR (Anti Leg Rotation)

Gitzo's new Anti Leg Rotation system means the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.

Sand Bag Hook

The Gitzo GT3330LS Systematic tripod's redesigned top platform also includes, for the first time, a convenient sand bag hook. This hook, made of machined aluminum, is provided with a standard 3/8-inch screw attachment for various applications.

Removable Rubber Feet

The Gitzo GT3330LS tripod is provided with removable rubber feet. This feature allows you to easily change worn out rubber feet or to fit other accessories, such as spiked feet or snow/sand shoes. The removable rubber feet have also been improved with a self-locking system that avoids accidental loss.
