The KATA Prism U Camera Backpack is a camera daypack that can carry and protect a laptop, a digital camera or SLR with accessories, plus an MP3/MP4 player, a PDA and a cellphone. The main compartment is divided into two flexible compartments by a zippered divider, which can be removed to create one large space. Front zippered flaps with Flexi-Shield reinforcement offer quick access to the two main compartments.

The upper compartment features Elasto-Guard sleeves to secure and protect delicate equipment. These sleeves can simply be folded away when not in use. It also contains an internal organizer panel for personal effects that includes a small roaming media pocket. There is a flat flexible zippered pocket in the lower compartment.

In the rear of the Prism U, a large safe guard laptop compartment holds laptops up to 15 inches. Two low profile high capacity side pockets will hold water bottles, etc. Double layered second zip pockets are concealed under each. Two media pouches are integrated into the shoulder straps for quick access of phone or MP3/MP4 player.

Elasto-Guard Construction

The Ergo-Tech Collection is made from Kata's revolutionary Elasto-Guard material. Consisting of several layers, Elasto-Guard is a flexible material that will adjust to the ever-changing shapes and movements of the carrier's body, while also able to shift shape in order to fit the varying equipment within. Elasto-Guard, a material specially developed by KATA for their Ergo-Tech collection, is a lamination which consists of the following 3 layers:

1. External layer -- high resistance stretchable knit/weave PES/PA
2. Middle layer -- 1 to 3 mm closed-cell waterproof elastic foam padding
3. Internal layer -- Kata's "Yelloop" fabric which enables the attachment of dividers, and provides soft, anti-scratch cushioning

Flexi-Shield Reinforcement Along Sides and On Front Flaps

Front zippered flaps with Flexi-Shield reinforcement offer quick access to the two main compartments. Flexi-Shield reinforcement also runs along the sides. Flexi-Shield is another technology specially developed by KATA for their Ergo-Tech collection. This high frequency molded flexible reinforcement appears in the form of ridges on the exterior of the safe guard zones for ultimate protection.

The flexible main compartment will hold a compact digital camera or SLR plus plenty of gear and accessories. The main compartment is divided in two with a zippered division that can be removed when desired to create one large space.
