The KATA Select-18 UL Holster features a combination of technology, materials and design which embodies the ultimate essence of lightweight protection without compromise. The spring steel Spine Guard, encased in specially formed foam, provides ultimate structural protection. This combines with light yet durable RipStop fabrics and meshes, Aeriform foams and Spider Webbing straps to create a protective yet fantastically lightweight carrying solution. The incredible modularity allows you to make the Select-18 UL even lighter by simply removing components that are not necessary for your current task.

The large main compartment is designed to hold a Pro Digital SLR with 70-200 lens attached, while the two side pockets can be used as standard flat pockets or opened up to accept larger volume gear. The integrated mesh draw string system will accept a water bottle or can be used as a cradle in which to place the included padded pouch to carry an extra lens.

Kata created a specially-formed foam-encased spring steel spine which is positioned along the front of the bag to ensure ultimate structural protection and shock absorbency.

Aeriform Foams

To reduce the weight of the bags without compromising on padding and protection, Kata developed combinations of perforated super light laminated, reinforced EVA and EPE foams, used in the construction of the bags and in the padded features of the bag.

Quick Access Camera Holster

The Select-18 UL will hold a Digital SLR with a telephoto zoom lens attached in top grip position for quick access.
