The Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4-Section Carbon Fiber Lightweight Tripod replaces the 190MF4 tripod. The 190CXPRO4 is extremely lightweight and combines great compactness and improved rigidity with maximum height. The 190CXPRO4 uses the same construction as the 190CXPRO3 and offers the same features, but the 190CXPRO4 is even more compact due to its 4-section legs. This is an ideal tripod to fit in a backpack and great support for advanced and SLR analog/digital camera equipment and spotting scopes.

This tripod represents the top of the Manfrotto lightweight tripod range, providing professional photographers a tripod that is very light, compact, simple to use, yet high quality, strong and extremely versatile to position. To reduce the weight of the tripod without any compromises on stability and rigidity, the legs are made of unique carbon fiber tubes combined with quick-action, die-cast magnesium lever locks. The top spider uses the patented Q90° Quick Center Column System, which is able to achieve four leg angle settings and convert the center column to a lateral arm. The magnesium top plate is designed to maximize lightness and resistance and offers an integrated leveling bubble. Lightweight magnesium is used for die-cast parts.

Q90° Quick Center Column System With Vertical/Horizontal Positioning

The patented Q90° system allows the user to move the central column from vertical to horizontal position in just seconds without having to disassemble the column. This ingenious design allows the carbon fiber center column to double as a lateral arm. Converts in seconds and provides table-top and overhead camera positions impossible with standard tripods.

100% Carbon Fiber Tubes For The Tripod Legs and Center Column

To reduce the weight of the tripod without any compromises on performance, stability and rigidity, Manfrotto tubes are made of 100% Carbon Fiber. Carbon fiber tubes can be very different in quality, depending on the production process and the percent of carbon fiber material present in the tubes. Manfrotto chose to reach the maximum quality using 100% carbon fiber and the pull winding technology (a special production process that maximizes performance, resistance and reliability).

Magnesium Die Casting and Top Plate

The top plate is designed to maximize lightness and resistance. Lightweight magnesium is used for die-cast parts. Magnesium has a 35% lower density than aluminum. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
