A separate friction control wheel lets you regulate the power of the blocking mechanism to match the weight of your camera/lens.

The Manfrotto 222 Grip Action Ball Head, which replaces the 3265 Grip Action Ball Head is made of cast aluminum and supplied with the 200PL quick release camera plate with secondary safety lock. The 222 also features a built-in bubble level and tension adjustment. The 222 is ideal for 35mm cameras and digital SLRs with short or medium focal length lenses. Camera attachment is standard 1/4-inch screw mount.

Quick-Release Plate Supplied

Supplied with 200PL quick-release plate. The compact, rectangular 200PL quick release plate system fits neatly under still cameras up to SLR (even with tele lenses) or small medium format in size, or under small video cameras or spotting scopes. Its rubber pad gives a good grip without damaging the camera, and its angled sides ensure that it also fits perfectly and tightly.

Secondary Safety Catch for Quick-Release Plate

This head features a secondary security lock so you can't accidentally release the plate (and camera) without meaning to. The lock stops the quick release lever from opening fully.

Single Locking Mechanism For Movement On All Axes

A convenient single locking mechanism blocks or frees movement on all axes for greater speed of use.

Separate Control for Precise Friction Adjustment
