The 501HDV,351MVB2K is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 351MVB2 Pro Video Aluminum Tripod, the 501HDV Pro Video Head, the 3189 Mid-Level Spreader, 565 Spiked Foot Shoes and the MBAG90P Padded Tripod Bag.

Today's professional camera operators demand a tripod kit with a top tandem leg section, mid-level spreader, a 75mm bowl topped with a smooth pro fluid video head, that all folds down to a small size and comes with a padded bag. The Manfrotto 351MVB2 is a two-stage aluminum video tripod. Equipped with a 75 mm half bowl, the 351MVB2 combines a twin leg design for the first stage and a single leg design for the second stage of the tripod, complete with double spiked feet. Legs can be adjusted to an angle of 180° by using the 501HDV,351MVB2K kit's included 3138 Floor Spreader. A set of three spiked foot shoes is included with this kit for use on smooth surfaces.

The 501HDV replaces the popular Manfrotto 501 Pro Video Head. It inherits its separate pan and tilt locks, gradual tilt friction adjustment system, flat base (with standard 3/8-inch thread), quick release camera plate and repositionable pan bar from its successful predecessor. Inside the 501HDV is a powerful new feature that takes its inspiration from Manfrotto's top professional video head models -- a fixed counterbalance spring (set for a typical camera plus accessories weight of 5.5 pounds) that helps ensure both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety even when tilt locks are inadvertently left off. The easy-to-reach on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be disengaged or re-engaged for different filming setups. But from the outside, the first thing that you'll notice about the new 501HDV video head is its updated design -- completely retuned for much improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow a more solid grip and better fingertip control.
