The 516,515PKIT is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 515MVB Pro Video Tripod, the 516 Pro Video Head, the 3141BALL Half Ball, the 165MV Ground-Level Spreader and the MBAG100P Padded Tripod Bag.

The 515MVB is a two-stage, lightweight, high-tensile aluminum tripod that is extremely rigid and stable. Specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders, the 516 Pro Video Head is compact, light, and can support cameras up to 22 pounds. The 516 is a cost-effective high-performance video head equipped with fluid cartridges that provides continuous adjustable drag control.

The 3141BALL half ball adapts flat-base video heads such as the 516 Pro Video Head for tripods with a 100mm bowl, such as the 515MVB. The 165MV is a ground-level spreader with variable diameter width controls from 31.5" to 51.2". The MBAG100P 39.3" Padded Tripod Bag is made of high-quality durable materials. It can be hand-carried horizontally by the side handle, vertically by the end handle (also useful for storage), or shoulder-carried using the included strap.

Adjustable leg lock system

This two stage, lightweight, high tensile aluminum tripod is extremely rigid and stable. The 515MVB has a die-cast aluminum shoulder with a built-in 100 mm interface bowl, adjustable leg lock levers for reliability and safety in the field and a floor-level spreader which aids in tripod leg angle setting. The lowest leg section has twin spiked metal feet. The tripod can also be equipped with optional spiked feet shoes, different types of dollies and two models of mid level spreader.

Specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders used by documentary and industrial videographers, the 516 Pro Video Head is compact, light, and can support cameras up to 22 pounds. The 516 is a cost-effective high-performance video head equipped with fluid cartridges that provides continuous adjustable drag control.

The 516 can be mounted on the 515MVB Pro Video Tripod by attaching the 3141BALL (included with this kit) to the head base, allowing it to fit the tripod's 100mm bowl.

Fluid Movement, Continuous Adjustable Drag Control

The 516 is equipped with fluid cartridges that provides continuous adjustable drag control. This system gives quite a wide range of friction control down to "zero drag" and operates on both pan and tilt axis.

Sliding quick-release plate for balancing the camera is supplied with 1/4-20" and 3/8" camera screws plus VHS locating pin.

The round black knob on the side of the head is used to adjust the tilt friction; the tilt-locking lever is on the opposite side.
