The 701RC2,755XBK is a complete kit consisting of the Manfrotto 755XB MDeVe Tripod, the 701RC2 Mini Video Head and the MBAG80 Tripod Bag. The 755XB MDeVe Aluminum Tripod replaces Manfrotto's 755B MDeVe Tripod. Made entirely of aluminum, the 755XB has a removable center column with a built-in 50mm levelling ball and bubble spirit level that can easily be fitted as a lateral arm. The Manfrotto 755XB MDeVe Aluminum Tripod replaces Manfrotto's 755B MDeVe Tripod. Designed for the professional videographer, the Manfrotto 755XB MDeVe is an extremely versatile tripod, ideal for Mini DV camcorders. It has the same design as the 756XB tripod, but with a larger leg diameter, top spider and leg locks, enabling the 755XB to handle a higher load capacity. It is entirely made from aluminum, and has a removable center column with built-in 50mm leveling ball and bubble spirit level. This long and adjustable center center column can easily be re-fitted as a lateral arm. Not only does this allow the camera to be offset from the leg position, it is also the simplest way to shoot a subject from directly overhead.

Removable Center Column With Built-in 50mm Leveling Ball and Bubble Spirit Level

The 755XB has a removable center column with built-in 50mm leveling ball and bubble spirit level that can easily be repositioned as a lateral arm. Not only does this allow the camera to be offset from the leg position, it is also the simplest possible way to shoot a subject from directly overhead. Center column with built-in 50mm half ball is locked using the rotating grip located at the bottom of the center column.

Built-in Leveling System

The 755XB's unique center column construction and precision-machined red anodized aluminum allows the leveling ball to be locked by a detachable rotating grip built at the bottom of the center column. This allows the camera operator to level the camera and even adjust its height without needing to make micro adjustments to each individual tripod leg.

Four Different Leg Angle Settings

Four pre-set independent leg angles -- 23°, 45°, 65° and 88° -- give the tripod great positioning flexibility and versatility, and allow all intermediate heights from the stated minimum to maximum levels to be reached. Stability is assured at all four angles by the spring-loaded step mechanism. Each of the legs can be set to a different angle of spread for more flexible, versatile positioning and to help keep camera equipment well-balanced over the tripod's center of gravity. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism has been greatly improved.

Quick-Release Sliding Plate With VHS Pin

The 701RC2 is equipped with a fixed 3.3 lb counterbalance spring and a sliding plate which can shift from +15mm to -15mm to deliver a wide range of balancing positions. The sliding quick-release video plate system is based on the 200PL-14 equipped with the usual VHS pin.
