Canon Projectors Feature Explanations:
- 1 - LCOS and AISYS Technology
- With Canon's LCOS projector, you get all the brilliance and image sharpness of LCOS technology, but in a portable and affordable projector unlike any other on the market. LCOS -- or Liquid Crystal On Silicon -- has taken projectors to a whole new level. This new technology means higher resolution images, seamless images with no flickering or "screen door" effect, quick image response for better looking moving images, and better display of text. Only Canon realizes the full potential of LCOS technology by combining it with their proprietary AISYS Engine, a patented optical light engine for achieving brightness and high contrast using LCOS panels. It is this combination that makes the Realis SX50 a projector like no other.
At the core of the Realis projector is Canon's proprietary AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) optical technology, a patented means of achieving both the high brightness of 2500 ANSI Lumens and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 while also reducing projector size. AISYS fully maximizes the performance of LCOS (Liquid Crystal On Silicon) technology, which has major advantages over traditional projection methods, including higher (SXGA+) resolution, seamless imagery, enhanced performance on motion images, and superior display of text.
- 2 - Advanced Color Management Color Modes
- The LV-7585 projector's Custom Image Mode lets you adjust several factors, including gamma. Gamma adjustment affects the overall brightness of an image, making it useful for images that are too dark or too bright. Up to 10 custom profiles can be stored. The LV-7585 also features Standard Image Mode for normal viewing, High Contrast Image Mode for projecting sharper graphs and photographs, and Cinema Image Mode for watching movies in a darkened room.
With each Realis projector, you can select between several Color Modes, each one designed for a different type of projection:
- Standard mode gives you images closely resembling the original, with an emphasis on white areas
- Presentation mode increases contrast between bright and dark areas, making it easier to see detailed diagrams and text
- sRGB mode is optimized for sRGB images, which includes those produced by many digital cameras
- Movie mode and Movie&Photo mode are for the display of video and digital camera images, clearly defining gradations and improving color reproduction
- Adobe RGB (SX6 only) is a larger color space, enabling the reproduction of more colors -- and is ideal for professional photographic studios, graphic design studios and printers who need to display images with accurate, uniform color. The SX6 gives you the widest range of Adobe RGB color space found in any projector.
- Home Cinema mode (SX60 only) controls brightness while enhancing contrast to a ratio of 2000:1; it's ideal for the watching movies in pitch-dark rooms
- 3 - Digital Keystone Correction
- Weird, trapezoidal images aren't effective communicators. With some projectors, that's what you get unless you can place the device at just the right angle. If you have to mount the projector somewhere that is higher or lower than your screen, these projectors incorporate an ultra smooth digital keystone correction for distortion free presentations for projection angles up to 15, 20 or 40 degrees, depending on model, so you always show a square, undistorted image.
- 4 - Quick Start and Quick Cooling
- Start up in about 8 seconds and cooling down within 30 seconds.
- 5 - Optional Lenses
- Combine Canon's brightest projector with a wide array of lenses, and you have a combination that will work in every situation imaginable. Of course, your LV-7585 comes with a sharp, versatile Genuine Canon Optics, 1.3X Optical Zoom. With a projection distance of 4.6 to 48.2 feet, the lens gives you a diagonal screen as compact as 31 inches and as big as 400 inches.
But the LV-7585 can also be paired with optional lenses: an Ultra Wide Angle, a Wide Angle Zoom, a Long Focus Zoom, or an Ultra Long Focus Zoom. The Wide Angle lenses give you big screen performance even with short projection distances, while the Long Focus lenses let you maintain a manageable screen size over long distances. The zooms allow you to set the perfect screen size -- regardless of the size of your venue.
