1 - Direct Print

Canon Photo Printers make it easier than ever before to print radiant, crisp professional quality photos right at home. Just plug in a select Canon digital camera or PictBridge supported digital camera. Instantly, you have complete control of the Printers' customized functions including automatic printing using DPOF, index printing, partial image printing, multiple copy printing, exact size printing and more. It's amazingly simple because you operate it all straight from your camera. You can even add a date stamp. All without ever touching a computer.

2 - PictBridge Compatible

Canon Photo Printers support PictBridge, a worldwide print standard. This standard enables any digital camera that supports PictBridge to connect and print to any PictBridge compliant printer.

3 - 300 DPI Full Color Dye Sublimation Printing

With Canon CP Photo Printers, you can produce prints that match the appearance and long-life of images produced by traditional film processes. Engineered for superior picture quality, these printers have a resolution of 300-dpi and 256 levels of color so you can create richly detailed prints from 2.0 Megapixel or greater cameras. Dye-Sublimation technology controls the ink flow to deliver a full range of realistic tones and shadings, so color is natural and true-to-life. For durability, these Canon Photo Printers add a transparent, protective overcoating to each print that shields it from the damaging effects of sunlight and humidity.

4 - FINE Print Head Technology

FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) is Canon's innovative key technology for inkjet printers, resulting in dramatic improvements in image quality, tonal expression, and image stability. More nozzles equal high quality. 1536 precision nozzles create exceptional resolution -- up to 9600 x 2400 dpi.* Microscopic 1-picoliter sized ink droplets produce exceptionally detailed photos.

* Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/9600 inch at minimum.

5 - 4" x 8" Prints

The 4" x 8" wide paper size allows you to create and print personalized greeting cards for nearly any occasion. The Canon CP740 Photo Printer comes equipped with drivers and application software that include a wide variety of templates and clip art for users to personalize their greetings, holiday cards, birth announcements, party invitations, and many other projects. The 4" x 8" paper tray is offered as an optional accessory for the CP740 and CP720.

6 - PC and Mac Compatible

Prefer to print from your PC? Just plug in a standard USB cable and you're good to go. Canon Photo Printers let you plug in a USB computer general purpose cable so you can output images stored on your hard drive. Printer drivers and Canon software are included with the printer so you have the option to print from your PC or MAC.

7 - Built-in Color LCD Monitor

The SELPHY CP740 Compact Photo Printer features a 2.0-inch color LCD monitor. You can check the images stored on your memory card before you print. You can also set paper size, select layouts, choose formats and much more. The SELPHY ES1 offers a high quality 2.5-inch color LCD. In addition to a tilt-up mechanism, the bright LCD features a wide viewing angle for comfortable image preview and selection. Enhanced LCD playback options include full screen display, slideshows, thumbnail views and support for Auto Rotated images. The intuitive user interface also displays helpful information on battery levels and the amount of ink and media remaining. Equipped with a bright, high-definition 2.5-inch LCD screen with wide viewing angles, and the Easy-Scroll Wheel interface, the Pixma mini320 Compact Photo Printer enables users to navigate through menus and images in a snap.

8 - Built-in Memory Card Slots

The ES1, CP740 and mini320 offer built-in memory card slots for CompactFlash, SD Card, MultiMediaCard and Memory Stick formats.

9 - Print Wirelessly From Bluetooth Enabled Camera Phone*

The ES1, CP740 and mini320 Printers are compatible with Canon's BU-20 Bluetooth Adaptor. Available as an optional accessory to the SELPHY and Pixma Photo Printers, this petite Bluetooth adaptor allows users to print photos wirelessly from most Bluetooth enabled devices, like computers, mobile phones and PDAs.

* Bluetooth v1.2 with optional Canon Bluetooth Unit BU-20. Bluetooth operation depends on the devices and software version used. Operating distance is approximately 10 meters but may vary due to obstacles, radio signals, locations where radio interference occurs, magnetic fields from microwave ovens, device sensitivity and (or) antenna performance.

10 - Print Wirelessly From IrDA Enabled Camera Phone*

The ES1, CP740 and mini320 printers are also IrDA compatible. This allows users with IrDA compatible phones to send images to the printer for easy printout.

* Requires mobile phone with IrDA port and support for IrMC version 1.1 protocol, with phone positioned no more than 7.9 inches from printer.

11 - Rechargeable Battery Pack Compatible

The Canon CP740 offers as an optional accessory Canon's Rechargeable Battery Pack NB-CP2L that can be recharged in the printer when the included AC adapter is plugged in. The Canon ES1 offers an optional Canon Rechargeable Battery Pack NB-ES1L. the optional Portable Kit LK-61 is available for the mini320.

12 - Easy Photo Pack System

Specifically developed for the SELPHY ES1, Easy Photo Packs combine ink and paper in one cartridge -- users simply slot the cartridge into the printer to begin printing. Up to 50 prints can be produced at once (depending on cartridge used), allowing users to print an entire photo album without having to oversee the whole process. This convenient system also reduces the risk of spoiled prints since the paper is not exposed to dust or other environmental particles.

A choice of seven Easy Photo Packs is available in sizes ranging from postcard to credit card, each color coded for easy identification in-store and at home. The range includes a dedicated Black and White Easy Photo Pack for artistic monochrome prints.

13 - Canon DIGIC II Image Processing Engine

The SELPHY ES1 is only the second printer ever to incorporate Canon's renowned DIGIC II image processing engine. Based on the same technology used in Canon's professional digital SLRs, DIGIC II drives markedly improved print quality while also contributing to near-instant start up and fast operation. The result is a printer that has the ability to automatically correct and enhance printed images from most digital cameras. In addition to automatic red eye correction and exposure correction, the processor also controls the temperature of the 1,208 printing electrodes that produce the photograph, delivering a clean and crisp print in approximately 60 seconds.
