Exclusively designed for digital, the Olympus FL-50R Dedicated Flash is a powerful, intelligent flash. It is the ideal companion to the Olympus E-3 digital SLR, which features Olympus' newly-developed RC Data Transfer System that transmits data optically. This significantly reduces the power consumption of the built-in flash when being used as the system commander. A wide range of flash-related settings can be easily accessed and adjusted using the camera's LCD display. Wireless flash control is available in three groups, allowing flash mode and compensation settings to be set independently for each group, enabling ultra-precise illumination.
Exclusively designed for digital, the Olympus FL-36R Dedicated Flash also features Olympus' newly-developed RC Data Transfer System that transmits data optically. Wireless flash control is available in three groups, allowing flash mode and compensation settings to be set independently for each group, enabling ultra-precise illumination. The high guide number of 36 meters/118 feet at 42mm (35mm equivalent of 84mm) and ISO 100 delivers power in a compact design. The FL-36R flash unit allows 1/8EV-step accuracy to satisfy the high light metering precision digital photography demands, and has a rotary flash head that can be rotated in four directions.
For macro lighting control, choose the Olympus STF-22 Twin Flash. To get the exact lighting you want, twin flashes can be set at any desired angle and can be fired as a single flash or simultaneously. Designed for macro flash photography, this twin flash has a GN of 22 (at ISO 100) for both lights and GN of 12 (at ISO 100) for one light. The included FS-FC1 Macro Flash Controller facilitates macro photography using TTL Automatic Flash and is simple to mount on the E System camera. The included SR-1 Shoe Ring allows the angle of each light to be adjusted.
For soft, even close-up flashes, choose the SRF-11 Ring Flash. To allow shadow-free close-up photography, this flash unit uses a circular tube as its light source and is ideal for medical and macro photography. The ring flash head provides uniform, shadow-free illumination for macro photography, providing outstanding results in dermatology and dentistry and anywhere something needs to put on record. It is also ideal for special effects in professional fashion or portrait photography. Guide number 26 feet/11 meters at ISO 100.
For shooting on the run, carry the Olympus FL-20 flash. This small, lightweight external flash unit is a great solution for simple and direct flash needs. With a high maximum guide number of 20 meter/65 feet at ISO 100, the FL-20 provides effective illumination in a pocket-size package.
The Olympus SHV-1 Flash High Voltage Set is the ultimate power source for the FL-50 flash, allowing you to shoot with recycle times as fast as 1.5 seconds shot-to-shot. The SHV-1 contains a high voltage pack (HV-1) with charging function, a nickel-hydride battery pack (BN-1) and an AC adapter (AC-2) for charging the battery. Hard case and strap also included.
The Olympus FP-1 Flash Power Grip, designed for the FL-50 flash, can be used with the flash unit's integrated power supply to enable more shots to be taken and to decrease the flash recycle time. Can be used in combination with the SHV-1 High Voltage Flash Set and FL-50 to provide fast flash charging for an extended number of shots. Head is rotatable 180 degrees for added versatility.
