Panasonic Network Cameras Feature Explanations:
- 1 - 10x Digital Zoom
- Equipped with a 10x digital zoom function, the camera lets you zoom in and out to view objects that are close or far away.
- 2 - Built-in Microphone For Audio Monitoring
- Sounds picked up by the built-in microphone can be heard through the PC. Video monitoring with sound enhances security by providing additional information that images cannot convey.
- 3 - MPEG4 Video
- Provides smooth motion images even with limited network speeds or a smaller volume of image data.
- 4 - Motion JPEG Video
- Motion JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images. Three image quality modes (Favor Clarity, Standard, Favor Motion) are available.
- 5 - Color Night View Mode
- When the subject darkens, the camera automatically adjusts the brightness to show you the image. The Color Night View Mode brings the minimum light requirement down to 3 lux, letting you capture images even in dimly lit places.
- 6 - Human Detection Heat Sensor
- The BL-C230 and BL-C111 feature a built-in human detection sensor that responds to heat. Captured images can be stored temporarily in the camera* or sent to you by e-mail** or FTP data transfer***.
- 7 - Motion Sensor
- This function detects changes by reacting to a camera threshold or sensitivity that is set in advance on the PC.
- 8 - H.264/ACV Data Transmission
- The adoption of H.264/ACV has enabled reduction of data volume by more than 30% compared to MPEG-4 when transmitting data of the same image quality.
- 9 - Remote Monitoring from Cell Phone
- Still images from the camera can be checked on a cell phone that is capable of normal web access and JPEG viewing.
- 10 - Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG
- Cameras simultaneously send MPEG-4 images in three resolutions (VGA*, QVGA, and SCIF), and JPEG images in the same three resolutions in Favor Motion, Standard, and Favor Clarity image-quality types. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images. H.264 and MPEG-4 cannot browse at the same time.
- 11 - Remote Pan/Tilt and Zoom Control
- The camera angle can be varied by remote control. Monitoring precision can be further increased by using the zoom.
- 12 - IPv4 / IPv6 Dual-Stack
- Panasonic's new network cameras allow the use of a virtually unlimited number of IP addresses by supporting IPv6, a next-generation protocol. The IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack feature enables you to use IPv4 at the present and switch over to IPv6 in the future.
- 13 - High Speed Wireless LAN Capability
- The Panasonic BL-C230A Network Camera corresponds to the wireless system based on IEEE 802.11b/g. Wireless installation will play an increasing role in flexible mounting. Encryption establishes the security on the wireless network. IEEE 802.11g has 2 modes: 1. the 802.11g only mode, and 2. the 802.11g and 802.11b simultaneous mode. Also, the wireless LAN function can be suspended. Communication via Ethernet cable is also available.
- 14 - Privacy Mode
- When you return home, just press a button to cover the lens and protect your privacy. System administrators can also do this over the network.
- 15 - Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- The included Power Transfer Unit supplies the camera the power through the LAN cable. It allows you to install the camera anywhere, like on the ceiling where no power outlet is.*
- 16 - HTTPS Support
- Recorded data is sent in encrypted form, making it very difficult for someone else to eavesdrop on the network.
- 17 - Outdoor Ready
- The splash-resistant body (IPX4 equivalent splash-resistance) expands the scope of applications by letting you install the camera outside, like on house or garage eaves. Resists temperaures from as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit to as high as 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
