For the convenience associated with a multi-handset telephone without the complicated wiring required by standard small telephone systems, Panasonic offers the KX-FPG391, their first fax machine to incorporate a 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange expandable phone system. This expandable telephone system is loaded with features and 5.8GHz Technology will not interfere with wireless computer networks using 900MHz or 2.4GHz technology.
Useful in both a home office or busy household, this telephone system offers the option of operating a single feature-packed base unit with the ability to interact with up to four separate handsets. In addition to reaping the benefits offered by clear, long-range cordless 5.8GHz operation, each handset user can also take advantage of speakerphone-capability, Talking Caller ID and a variety of other advanced features.
The Panasonic KX-FPG391 fax machine not only operates as a fax machine, copier and 5.8 GHz FHSS GigaRange expandable phone system, it even incorporates an all-digital answering system. This feature gives you up to 18-minutes of memory in one main mailbox, and two separate personal mailboxes -- perfect for storing messages separately among those in your home or small business.

- 5.8GHz Frequency-Hopping Digital Spread Spectrum (FHSS) Operation
- 5.8GHz technology operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than 2.4GHz technology, yet maintains outstanding levels of security, clarity and range. FHSS technology improves calling range and clarity, and eliminates cross talk. Because it rapidly changes transmission frequencies within the 5.8GHz bandwidth, this cordless system helps reduce the possibility of eavesdropping.

- Multi-Handset Capability
- You can place up to four cordless handsets anywhere in the house or office while using only one phone jack connected to one base unit. This eliminates the need to rewire your phone line to other parts of the building. The KX-FPG391 system comes with a base unit and one handset that comes with its own separate charger. Up to three more handsets can be added at any time.
- All-Digital Answering System (18-min.)
- With no tapes to reset or rewind, operation is virtually silent. Once callers reach the answering system, a voice prompt guides them through the task of leaving a message. A total of 18 minutes worth of messages can be recorded. Messages are automatically stamped with the date and time they were received. All recorded messages are held in flash memory, so they'll survive any power interruptions or failures.
